Many people assume that taking a break in a relationship is a breakup. They also make the mistake of thinking that a break signifies a cowardly way of ending the relationship. They believe couples do this to avoid becoming a target of public gossip.

The truth, however, is that when one cries out for a need for space in the relationship, more often than not, they want just that – space. Couples want to put some distance between them to figure out their feelings for each other and whether or not it will be good for them both to get back together.

Another common stereotype surrounding the dreaded ‘taking a break in a relationship’ statement is that only men want to go down that path – to pull back into their man cave, as people call it.

This is not always the case. Often enough, women want to put distance between their spouse/companion as well.

In this day and age, the stigma around this statement is fading fast. No one actually believes that putting space in a relationship automatically means breaking up with one’s companion.

Today, people are smart enough to realize that putting distance between themselves and their other half will lead to better life decisions. Of course, this is highly dependent on how one decides to spend that time away.Taking a Break in a Relationship taking a break in a relationship Why Taking a Break in a Relationship Can Actually Save it Taking a Break in a Relationship e1432752017543
