#3 Balancing The Real World vs. Online Interactions
This really applies to all relationships out there, but there are some lesbian relationship-specific titbits to add here.
The general advice first—constantly updating your status, or changing your relationship status prematurely? Both are definite don’ts. It might be easy to forget in an age where seemingly everything’s shared and Tweeted, but a relationship’s supposed to be a private affair first.
In addition, turn off websites like Grindr when it comes time for a date or relationship. It is a great site when you are looking for an LGBT partner, but not so much once you have found someone.
And anyway, what are you doing looking on a site like that anyway when you already have a partner? What is absolutely pressing, however, is that your focus on the real-world interactions of your partner, rather than lose yourself in the online world.
