#7: Negative Behaviors Should Result in Negative Consequences

The primary aim of negative consequences is to discourage negative behaviors. Many kids receive lot of attention due to their negative behavior though it’s not intentional.

In my case, after conducting some research, I came upon this conclusion that negative consequences could include just about anything that has the power to discourage a kid from demonstrating the same attitude again.

My son loved to play a wide assortment of video games.

So, whenever he failed to follow a certain rule, I forbade him from those games for the day.

However, negative consequences never mean yelling and outbursts, and it ought to be done in a very calm and collected way.
